Condition & character
The candid paragraph, written by the founder.
This stone is heated, in the traditional way, and priced accordingly — a heated stone of this colour costs a fraction of its unheated equivalent, which is the honest reason to consider it. The table shows a faint colour zone under magnification, invisible face-up. The girdle carries one small nick from setting, which a cutter would remove in minutes.
Provenance
Notes on this stone
Most sapphires on the market are heated. The difference between heated and unheated is real and it is priced; it is not a difference in honesty. This page states which this is, in the laboratory's words, above everything else.
