Artha Gems of Ceylon is a private gem atelier in Colombo. We source unheated and fine heated sapphires, and other Sri Lankan coloured stones, for collectors, jewellers and private buyers. Every stone is certified. Every treatment is disclosed. Every report number can be checked.

We would rather list ten stones completely than a hundred in passing.
The certificate comes first
Reports from GIA, GRS, Lotus or CSL, each linked to the lab’s own verification portal. For important stones, we submit to the laboratory of your choice before you pay.
Acquiring a stoneTreatment, stated plainly
Most sapphires are heated; some are not. The difference is real and it is priced — in the lab’s words, on the page and on the invoice.

Small licensed pits and open markets — Ratnapura and Beruwala chiefly, Elahera in season. Cut in Colombo, exported under NGJA seal.

An appointment costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
About an hour with the stones, in daylight, with the loupe and the reports on the table — at the atelier, at your Colombo hotel or bank, or by live video in your timezone.
